Rethink Self Harm helpline
Freephone: 0808 801 0606 (5-10pm, 7 days a week). A Gloucestershire Self Harm Helpline which provides a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and informative space for people who self-harm, their friends, families and carers.

The Royal College of Psychiatry is the professional body for psychiatrists. Their website includes leaflets containing information about mental health problems.
Samaritans
Freephone: 116 123 (24 hrs, 7 days a week). Samaritans volunteers listen in confidence to anyone in any type of emotional distress, without judging or telling people what to do.
Rethink advice line
Provides expert advice and information to people with mental health problems and those who care for them, as well as giving help to health professionals, employers and staff. Mind Information Line
Mind provides confidential mental health information services. With support and understanding, Mind enables people to make informed choices. The Infoline gives information on types of mental distress, where to get help, drug treatments, alternative therapies and advocacy.
